Changes to Yarra Trams Travel Information
New information to be included in the Yarra Trams GTFS-R data feeds
We are starting to make improvements to the Yarra Trams real-time and disruption information so passengers can make decisions about their journeys using the right information at the right time.
We have made the following changes to the Yarra Trams GTFS-R data:
- GTFS-R - Trip Updates: the Delay field is being removed and RouteID field being added.
- Vehicle positions: Route ID field has been added, occupancy status has been removed until a later date, vehicle information has been improved and StopId will be published if the tram is at a particular stop.
- GTFS-R - Service Alerts: enables disruption messages to be mapped at the route level.
Please note: the information in the current ‘Required’ data fields remains the same and data feeds continue to follow the global standards and specifications. However, access to these APIs has been moved from the Data Exchange Platform (DEP) to this portal as DEP was commissioned on 30 September 2025.
